Educator Action Plan

Personal Action Plan

Reflection
As I worked to put these two action plans together I started noticing how difficult it was to separate the two. While there are many actions I am taking on a personal level, I believe that these can also be taken at the educator level to encourage the next generation to build positive planet responsible habits. I also noticed that there is so much intersectionality between personal and professional actions when it comes to the sustainable development goals which made the goals become more concrete and less abstract. When I began this course I felt like the goals were these large unattainable pieces that one person couldn’t reach, but as I learned and grew I realized that my small actions towards any goal starts to make an impact. If my actions are able to ‘drop’ a single pebble into the world creating a small ripple effect, imagine what change could happen when I teach through the SDGs with my students so all our pebbles work together.
