Module 4 Action Plan Presentation to UN
In this scenario, I am attending a UN Assembly Conference about ways to take action in innovative ways to end poverty and inequality. I was chosen to be the spokesperson for my school and present a report advocating for the issue I’ve been researching for my personal inquiry, gender equality for LGBTQIA2S+ youth. Based on the effectiveness of my report, my school community will be given support by the UN to set up my proposed plan of action.

Grade 4/5 – Sustainable Practices within the school community
I decided to focus on sustainable practices within our school community because I am starting to realize how much we waste within a school. While many of the schools in Districts #43 and #42 have brought in alternate bins for students to use other than putting everything in the garbage I think there are greater steps that could be taken. I also believe that students have so much creativity wonder and imagination that the solutions they come up with could be far superior to what is already in place. Incorporating greater land-based education and outdoor education so students can explore multiple viewpoints on sustainable practices we can implement at our school. I also choose all picture books because I feel like it is a great access point for all learners specially if there is a read aloud online where subtitles can be put on either in English or another language, so all students have access.
